LIVE IN BELMONT If you love trees and hills and want to feel like you are miles away from the city. Belmont is rare, semi-rural gem with easy access to the best the Bay Area has to offer. Belmont has a deep sense of community and some of the best schools in California (public and private). It is a very walk-able city dotted with small neighborhood shopping centers in lieu of big-box stores.Quaint homes, hills and trails, a wonderful sports center and culture within easy reach all make Belmont a delightful place to call home.

OUTDOORS   Great parks are springing up throughout Belmont – here are a few.

Waterdog Open Space – Open Space is also known as the John Brooks Memorial Open Space.  With a variety of trail lengths for walking and a short but super-sweet mountain bike loop, this park is a great spot for after work or when you’re short on time. Even if you only have 2 hours, you will leave happy! Dogs welcome on leash.

Twin Pines Park – This quaint park follows a lovely brook with picnic areas and plenty of shade. There are free afternoon concerts in the Summer on Sundays and there is plenty of parking.
Semeria Park – If you have kids, this is a great little spot. It’s cute, clean and safe with rubber mats and plenty to do and climb. The small grassy area is great to toss a Frisbee or kick a ball and the slide, swings and climbing structure will keep even active kids occupied. This park was a long time in coming, however, it is a welcome addition. It has picnic spaces with tables and benches and a concrete path around the play area.

Davey Glen Park – On a clear day through the Eucalyptus trees you can catch a glimpse of the bay and Mount Diablo. It was a challenging park to design with wonderful grassy play areas, play structures with places to sit and enjoy the naturally, hilly surroundings. The park is bordered by privately-owned open space and a stand of fragrant Eucalyptus trees. There is a walking path, donated by the two adjacent homeowners and a neighborhood shopping area nearby.

INDOORS   In Belmont, the thing to do indoors is to visit with friends and family. This lovely little town does not even have a movie theater. Just because the list is so short, we are going to include tents as indoors just so we can put the great Farmer’s Market on the list!
